Episode 8: Sumeet Singh Patpatia

Sumeet Singh Patpatia’s goal in life is to celebrate the things that make us unique. He has a passion for diversity, which led him to become Schibsted’s first ever Global Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging. Sumeet also has a deep love for his home country of Norway, and he’s interested in finding ways to integrate his Sikh heritage into modern Norwegian life. For the last 15 years Sumeet has been the organiser and leader of Den norske turbandagen, or ‘Norwegian Turban Day’; an initiative with the goal to make ‘Norway the best country to be different in’ by re-contextualising the turban as a  symbol of solidarity, equality and religious freedom.Sumeet has been a friend of Holzweiler since the beginning. In fact, his friendship with Susanne began in 2017 after Holzweiler won a competition to make the design for the official turban of Norway.
