Episode 15: Martin Whatson

Martin Whatson is a Norwegian street artist, celebrated across the globe for his unique approach to graffiti, creating public murals on canvas, print and through sculpture. His creations often include abstract depictions of dancers, animals and art historical figures inhabiting a world of Martin’s creation.Martin has a long history with Holzweiler, he was the first ever artist we collaborated with. Back in 2012 we worked with him on a capsule of scarves and we’ve continued to collaborate on projects with him since then, more recently we commissioned him to work on a piece of art that would bring a sense of  Oslo’s city centre to our HQ by the water at Lysaker Brygge. For this episode of Take a Moment, Martin sits down with Susanne to discuss his childhood motivations for getting into art, how fatherhood changed his outlook on life and more.
