In 2009 Linus Wyrsch joined the team of DJs at BTR and took over the bi-weekly jazz show,The Jazz Hole. Being a sought-after clarinetist and saxophonist, himself, in the Big Apple, Linus embraces a unique relationship with the jazz genre and its musicians, consequently providing the listeners with a backstage pass to the New York jazz scene. The hour-long show features the music of new talents from inside and outside of the New York circuit, and every once in a while, Linus is able to sneak in a major jazz artist, sometimes accompanied with a short interview. Over the years, he has interviewed John Clayton, Lew Tabackin, Fred Hersch, Sue Mingus, Steve Gadd, Jojo Mayer, Gerald Clayton, Javon Jackson, the President of Resonance Records George Klabin, Sofia Rei, Sharel Cassity, Mark Sherman, Harvie S, Jean-Michel Pilc, Dafnis Prieto, Randy Johnston, Helen Sung, Gregorio Uribe and many others. The Jazz Hole podcast comes out every other Sunday, featuring a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Also check out The Jazz Hole Live, which features live recorded sets every second Thursday of the month.
