Letting Go of What You Didn’t Finish

After decades of leading Israel, Moses stood on Mount Pisgah, gazing at the land he would never enter. Imagine the emotions—disappointment, grief, maybe even the temptation to feel like a failure. Yet God was showing Moses something vital: the work was never dependent on him alone. Joshua would continue what Moses began. We often face similar moments when we must leave tasks, projects, or even ministries unfinished. It can feel like loss or inadequacy. But Scripture reminds us that God’s plans are bigger than our personal efforts. His purposes are not bound by our limitations or timelines. What we cannot complete, He entrusts to others—or finishes Himself. Letting go becomes an act of trust. Trust that His Spirit will carry forward the work. Trust that His kingdom purposes are never left incomplete.
