#155: Is My Co-occuring Mental Health Disorder Affecting My Recovery?
Therapy Brothers - En podkast av Reclaimed Heart

Caller Daxton's Question: "I am a man in recovery from addiction and I am also learning how to manage ADHD in my adult life. I was diagnosed with ADHD after graduating high school. Since starting recovery, I have found mindfulness to be an invaluable tool for addiction recovery and managing my ADHD. As I’ve worked on mindfulness, I have seen it help me manage my ADHD in some very palpable ways and at the same time, I’ve found that my ADHD makes mindfulness pretty hard sometimes. In all of your work with addicts, have you seen any correlation between addiction recovery, ADHD and mindfulness? How can I maintain mindfulness even when my brain wants to do the exact opposite?"
