HOUR 4 - Noah Hiles

Pirates insider Noah Hiles from the PG joined the show. Poni immediately took a shot at Noah’s mustache. Noah talked about his first job with KDKA radio. Noah talked about the interesting years he had covering Pitt and the blue vase controversy. More w/ Noah – We talked about sponsoring a little league baseball team. The good old days of little league seem to be gone and everyone is all about the travel baseball. Noah shared a wild playoff run from his day. More w/ Noah – Is there another move coming from the Pirates? Noah said it won’t be a big one, but something either via trade or waiver claim. Noah said the Pirates were pretty close to getting Nick Pivetta this offseason on a multi-year deal. Noah likes the bullpen additions because of the depth it builds. Noah believes Henry Davis and Jack Suwinski will make the team out of spring training. Noah said this offseason was the time for the Pirates to go out and get a multi-year outfielder. Is there any sense of Ben Cherington being on the hot seat? Noah said Paul Skenes has added 2 new pitches this season. Noah thinks the Pirates are capable of winning 77-78 games, just clearing that over 76.5 threshold.
