HOUR 1 - Steelers draft Harmon, Calls, Derrick Bell

The Steelers used the 21st overall pick on DL Derrick Harmon from Oregon. The other shows today haven’t been thrilled with the pick overall, but we are here to turn the tide. What do we like the most about the pick? Is he safe? Is he solid? Is he boring? We also heard the emotional stories about Harmon’s mom, who is on life support. Did the Steelers make a mistake by not drafting a QB? Poni got a call from a doctor during the break regarding the Derrick Harmon shoulder injury that kept him off some team’s draft boards. We took calls on the pick. NFL film guru Derrick Bell from Pittsburgh Sports Now joined the show. Derrick thinks the Steelers made the right choice, drafting Derrick Harmon over either of the available QBs. He also noted that Shedeur Sanders was definitely higher on his board than Jaxson Dart. Derrick doesn’t love comps that some players get, but he does like a lot of what he sees from Harmon on film. The guys asked Derrick about some targets in these middle rounds and he brought up a few QBs they could have their eyes on.
