Minerva PLM Special: Why are PLM books so boring?

Most of us would agree that books on PLM, Engineering Design and Change & Configuration Management are not the most exciting read. In fact, many of us have actually fallen asleep while reading. So, why is it such a boring experience to read books on PLM? Why do most of us turn a few pages and then put the book away for good?
