Episode 28 Osher Perry, CEO ShipIn Systems

In the most recent episode of The Last Dinosaur, I sat down with Osher Perry, CEO and Founder of ShipIn Systems.   For those that don’t know, ShipIn Systems offers onboard CCTV solutions for vessels that allows shoreside personal to get the visibility needed in critical operations. A question that I love to ask, especially founders, is ‘tell me about how your initial idea has changed over time’.  Most times, founders will talk about how they changed due to market conditions or demands, but what struck me about Osher’s response was, he did not change much and that the focus – seafarer’s safety – was unyielding and unchanged. One of the perceived problems in our industry is that technology will be dismissed out of hand.  Osher tells a different story, one that shows that good technology, if useful, will be adopted and adapted by users without much promoting.  He mentions how some of the spares that they send on board the ships, were used in more places than anticipated.  I guess it comes down to having good products with a solution in mind.  I hope you liked this episode of The Last Dinosaur.
