Oren has been a professor at the University of Washington’s Computer Science Department since 1991, and has also been the founder or co-founder of multiple companies, including Farecast which was sold to Microsoft in 2008, and Decide, which was sold to eBay in 2013, among others. Oren received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Harvard and his Ph.D. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University.
