Prior to becoming co-chair of the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics track, Neil served as President of the University from October 2010 to October 2011.  He has also served as a technical consultant on AI research and development projects for DARPA, Boeing, NIST, among other organizations.  He was also CEO of Teknowledge Corporation, a pioneering AI company that worked on AI applications systems for industry and government. Neil earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Wisconsin, and his Master of Science degree in Human Ecology from the University of Texas.
