They discuss the issue of remembrance of the Treaty of Trianon signed in 1921 which is a source of historical trauma for Hungarians. Andrzej explains why the Hungarian perception of the aftermath of World War I and Trianon are different than in other countries of the region. In 2021, on the centenary of the signing of the Treaty, a new monument commemorating Trianon was erected in Budapest which has sparked a further public discussion of current reinterpretations of Hungary's difficult past and the place of Trianon in Hungarian political memory.
