Lights Out: Revolt of the Worms

The story begins with a scientist, Martin, who is experimenting with growth hormones to enhance plant life. Martin's experiments unintentionally cause ordinary garden worms to grow to enormous sizes and develop a collective intelligence.  As the giant worms grow more aggressive, Martin and his assistant, Rogers, become trapped in their isolated laboratory and the situation becomes more dire as the worm's attack, leading to a terrifying realization that these creatures are now a significant threat.
