Researchers at Recorded Future have recently detected and described a new kind of influence operation that they’ve named “Fishwrap.” The technique involves recycling previously published news accounts of terrorist activities and amplifying their exposure through social media, with the apparent intent of sowing the seeds of distrust and unease. Our guest today is Staffan Truvé, CTO and co-founder of Recorded Future.
