This is a shockingly effective tool I learned from one of the grandfathers of personal growth: Dr. Maxwell Maltz in his seminal work "Psychocybernetics" Click here to read the book đ This process, called âLet it Ringâ, is a great visual & metaphor that will help you create enough space between you and your emotional triggers in order for you to release & reprogram them. Many of our current emotionally experiences of fear have little to do with what is actually happening in the moment and are more so an effect of us re-living a past traumatic experience that happened when we didnât have the cognition to understand or process what was happening. And so we repeat the same programmed loop over and over whether weâre actually threatened or not. Fortunately, you can change these pathways through the use of a pattern interrupt, like for example taking a deep breath, clapping your hands, or the technique Iâm sharing today. Over time, you will dissolve the old pathway and create new, more empowered and ever-evolving responses to life.
