Lorena Cora of www.lorenacora.com is a talented South Florida-based pet photographer who primarily focuses on outdoor dog photography. Like so many photographers, Lorena has experimented with Facebook ads but wasn't impressed with the numbers from her initial campaign, which turned her off this advertising style. Her ad, like so many, was for a free session and a complimentary small print via a competition. In my experience, and that of hundreds of PhotoBizX listeners, these can be super profitable. That wasn't the case for Lorena. She had 40 replies to her competition-style ad, which is fantastic! From there, Lorena was able to Direct Message (DM) those applicants and tell them more about the competition, the session and what happens after the photography, when most clients spend around $1000 on wall art, albums or folio boxes. This is where Lorena saw a significant drop-off from potential clients. Only ten people booked sessions.  Of these ten completed sessions, there were three sales for a total of $1,500. It's easy to see why this style of competition and ad turned Lorena off.  After exchanging a few messages, I felt there were opportunities for Lorena to refine her approach and get more from her ad campaigns. We set up a time for a one-on-one call to see if I could help.  And generously, Lorena allowed me to record the call and share it with you for today's episode. I hope you find it as helpful as Lorena did.  Finally, check out some of Lorena's fantastic photography below! I was curious and did ask if she felt it was the photography that could have been affecting the sales. That was before I had a look at her spectacular dog photography.
