Episode 137 is a conversation with one of my climate heroes, Jigar Shah. I read Jigar's book "Creating Climate Wealth" when I was 23 and it set me down the path I'm on today. So inspirational. Jigar was most recently co-founder and President at Generate Capital, where he focused on helping entrepreneurs accelerate decarbonization solutions through the use of low-cost infrastructure-as-a-service financing. Prior to Generate Capital, Shah founded SunEdison, a company that pioneered “pay as you save” solar financing. After SunEdison, Shah served as the founding CEO of the Carbon War Room, a global non-profit founded by Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Unite to help entrepreneurs address climate change. A lot of us have listened to Jigar over the years on The Energy Gang podcast, which I’ve also learned so much from. Jigar is now leading the DOE's Loan Programs Office and he's here to talk about loaning out money for deploying building technologies.
