Ashley Cleveland, a forty-one-year-old entrepreneur, transformed a layoff into a new life in South Africa after years of burnout in tech and marketing. After realizing she was struggling with anxiety and depression, Ashley took a break, claimed long-term disability, and moved to Tanzania with her daughters. She fell in love with life in Africa, where her spirit was restored, and her physical and mental health improved. Today, Ashley runs several businesses focused on helping others travel to, live in, and invest in Africa, bringing in around $122,000 a year. She also started a YouTube channel with 86,000 subscribers, sharing her journey and building a community around her experiences.
