The method can be used to prevent transmission of the disease to future generations. Crispr could repair up to 10,000 genetic disorders passed down the generations. The method is a safe way to repair genetic mutations. Crispr uses a protein called cast 9 to cut a sequence of sugars from a dna strand. A guide rna up to 105 sugars is used to identify the bad dna section.
