Rosie Pye on how her career led to her suffering from PTSD

Hurt to Healing: Mental Health & Wellbeing - En podkast av Pandora Morris - Tirsdager

I am joined today by Rosie Pye, an award winning producer, program editor and a multimedia producer with 15 years experience. She has produced thousands of BBC programmes and hundreds of podcasts. Rosie joined The Economist in 2020 to produce their flagship podcast, Economic Asks before creating Blanchard House, where she leads a development team, creating original content and quality podcasts for clients such as Google Ventures. However, reporting on distressing crime stories led Rosie to a devastating breakdown at the age of 29 and forced her to rethink her life. Rosie returned from maternity leave and her husband began to notice the impact her work was having on her mental health. Today, we speak about why PTSD, post-traumatic stress disorder is so complicated to treat, how she managed to take control of her health and how much braver this experience has made her.Find more on Blanchard House:Website: https://blanchard-house.com/Instagram: @BlanchardHouseStoriesLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/blanchard-house/Follow Hurt to Healing on Instagram: @hurttohealingpod--A big thank you our wonderful charity partner Shout.
