Ep 416 | Caitlin Clark Is Basketball’s Tiger Woods, Dawn Staley & Angel Reese Channel Fuzzy Zoeller

Fearless with Jason Whitlock - En podkast av Blaze Podcast Network

All season long, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark has been the best player in all of women’s basketball. Her play propelled the Hawkeyes into the national championship game and appears to have ruffled the feathers of the college basketball establishment. South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley didn’t seem to handle her team’s loss to Clark and Iowa very well and responded by playing the race card. “Staley deflected attention away from her coaching errors and Clark’s magnificent performance by complaining that unnamed reporters called South Carolina players thugs and monkeys. Staley framed Iowa coach Lisa Bluder’s harmless comment about a rebounding 'bar fight' as racist. Staley invented a racial narrative out of thin air. Corporate media sold Staley’s lies and gossip.” The controversy didn’t stop there. In the final seconds of LSU’s victory over Iowa, the Tigers’ Angel Reese stalked and taunted Clark. When some labeled Reese’s conduct as “classless,” social media quickly responded in typical “what about” fashion. Some compared Reese’s actions to the same gesture that Clark had made during a recent game, but Jason argues the two couldn’t be any more different. The “Fearless Army" is here to join the discussion. Coach Jason Brown discusses the leadership failure in college athletics. Shemeka Michelle makes her argument that Reese’s actions were just part of the game. Steve Kim and Jason expose another terrible take from Shannon Sharpe. T.J. Moe drops in with athletes, and we dive into the culture war with Royce White. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
