After 11 years in sales, Andrew got laid off overnight. Now Andrew has 7 years in Real Estate under his belt and over 60 deals, all whilst running a construction management company. Today we are going to discuss how it was all made possible. If you would like access to a free private training we did where we discussed the top 3 niches to get listings right now then head over to eliteagentsecrets.com and download the training for Free! Topics Discussed: INTRO - Created a construction company as soon as he got realtor license; he has lots of family members who are realtors, but at first he decided to go his own route, he didn't want to only talk business with his family; His first years - he had a sales background but being a realtor was difficult anyways, his friends were 24-25 so he had to find other people who are potential clients, it was a long grind to become good, realtor schools don't tell much about the real world; First outside client/first prospect - doesn't remember but believes that when he moved to Austin, started hitting parties, networking and thats how he found his first client; BUILDING A COMMUNITY - he started building community not for the sake of business but he enjoyed the people he was around, created a fb group with over 4500 people, started creating happy hours or other things he finds interesting and inviting people over; there's not better way to meet people than being the host of the party; How it all began - When he first moved to Austin there were 3 other networks that were doing what he was doing, those groups were getting less managed, so he decided to create his own page - with events, no spam, only 1 notification instead of 5; The group is now self growing (around 5 people joining per day); best way in growing group - being consistent (he consistently hosts 1-3 events a month for 4 years now), all the events are things he wants to do; he doesn't market too much, he builds relationships; Finding balance - it starts with a conversation (someone just needs to ask how he spent his week and he tells them about his realty business), he only posts 1-2 times a year about being a realtor "i'm hosting these events for free, if you want to support me and know someone who is need of a real estate, recommend me"
