Just when you thought things couldn’t get any stranger, Double Tap TV’s Marc Aflalo joins Shaun Preece to host this week’s episode of the Double Tap Canada Radio Show. But before diving into this week’s tech news, can they track down Steven Scott? The big news of course, is that Apple has launched the long awaited iPhone SE 2nd generation. With the body of an iPhone 8 but the performance of an iPhone 11 and at a very reasonable price point, there’s no doubt that this phone is going to be incredibly popular. Throw in the fact it still has a Home button and Touch ID and it’s sure to be a favorite among the visually impaired community too. Next, Marc tells us about his new gadgets, including the iPad Pro 2020, LG V60 dual screen Android phone and, if Shaun lets him, the Oculus Quest VR headset. Is the iPad really a replacement for a laptop? Will Marc ever switch to Android and why should we care about virtual reality as visually impaired people? Unsurprisingly, Shaun has an opinion on all these questions… Following on from the DTC teams request for fitness suggestions, we hear of a new high intensity workout skill for the Echo called Body Coach, why monitoring your heart rate is important and why Marc or Shaun won’t try a spinning class ever again. Finally, it’s on to the new Google Braille Keyboard coming to Android, how people are making sure people don’t get to close to them and why attending conferences like WWDC etc could be very different after the lockdown ends.
