Today’s Christmas edition of Cyber Monday is a review of 2019. In this mini episode, Christian & Dominic reminisce about the past year and honor previous guests of the show. Since the show began in September, some key themes have emerged that include: how to get started in cyber security, the importance of the role culture plays in cyber risk management and some myths that were busted. Among those myths are that cyber criminals don’t target smaller businesses. 2019 was a year with no shortage of cyber attacks and data breaches in the news. Dominic gives a public service announcement not to buy into the sensationalism often portrayed in the media, but to look at the facts from reliable sources. The episode concludes with a ‘holiday message’ to take your cyber security seriously over the holidays and always (cyber criminals sometimes work evenings, weekends and holidays)! Merry Christmas!
